3-DAY HORSE RIDING TOURS IN RODOPI MOUNTAINS 

There is a mountain in Bulgaria like no other – Rodopi! An ancient mountain, surrounded by ancient legends. Dark forests and bright meadows, deep gorges and spacious views, stone villages scattered on its slopes and cattle grazing on its pastures. We offer you the chance to experience the genuine Rodopi Mountains riding on a horse. Three days of a complete union with the nature!

Itinerary:

Day 1. Galabovo (Plovdiv region) –Dedevo
Arrival to Galabovo. We will walk for about 10 minutes from the village to the starting point of our horse riding tour. We meet the horses and some brief instructions follow. The beginning of the route is via meadows and oak trees up in the mountains. After a short rest at Zdravets area we continue upwards but along a slighter slope, which is suitable for trotting and galloping. Then we descend along a path, where we will have to lead the horses. We won’t miss the chance to enjoy the beautiful views revealed along the way. Thus we will reach the villa zone of the village of Dedevo, where we will overnight in a bungalow.
Riding: 4-5 hours

Day 2. Dedevo – Lilkovo
Our day begins with crossing the villa zone and the village of Dedevo. Riding in the dense forest we will reach the Byala Cherkva area, where we will have a picnic lunch. In the afternoon we will continue riding to the village of Lilkovo, where we may visit the old church. Overnight.
Riding: 5 hours

Day 3. Lilkovo – Galabovo
On the last riding day we will head back to the village of Galabovo following other routes. It is possible that we come across some wild animals that inhabit these parts of the mountains.
Riding: 4-5 hours

Price of the trip is £220 (min 2)

Price includes: English speaking riding guide, rent of saddled horses, one night in a bungalow and one night in a hut, all meals acc. itinerary, luggage transport, transfer from Sofia/Plovdiv on day 1, return transfer to Sofia
